I haven't had snickerdoodles in quite a while so I can't say if this recipe that I found online is better then the recipe I got from my mom BUT...this is a good recipe none the less. I was able to get 24 cookies out of this recipe.

Asian Glazed Drumsticks

Here is one of the other wonderful recipes that I have tried from I tried this one a long time ago and forgot to add it on here. These drumsticks have such a yummy flavor.
I made these drumsticks for a Thai themed get together with a bunch of friends and these little babies were a hit!

Turkey Stuffed Peppers

I came across this blog called and it is the most absolutely fantastic food blog I have ever come across. There are a gazillion recipes on there that sound so amazing. This recipe happens to be one of those. Now, the woman who created this recipe made these recipes of hers according the the Weight Watchers Points Program so some of the ingredients you may or may not want to substitute.
These are my absolute favorite stuffed peppers recipe out there. I have made these so many times and never get sick of them. The flavors are absolutely fantastic and to top it off, its super healthy for you.

CrockPot Teriyaki Chicken

Holy easy and delicious!! Sam had been requesting that I make chicken teriyaki rice bowls for a little while now and I finally broke down and found a good recipe. Thank you Pinterest! All you do is put pretty much everything in the crockpot, set it, and....forget it. :)
Crockpot recipes are my favorite because cooking it all day in the juices really gets that flavor deep into your meat. AND you don't have to rush right before dinner to get a whole bunch of things done.

Chicken With Sundried Tomato Basil Cream Sauce

I love it when Sam ends a meal by saying that what I had made tasted just as good if not better then food he would order at a restaurant. This meal happened to be one of those times. The meal really isn't that hard to make and has so much flavor in it.
If you are looking for a recipe that looks super complicated and that will make you look like you are a master chef, this is one of them. Give this a try next time you are trying to impress somebody special.

Spanish Rice

Last night I made my favorite Chicken Enchiladas and wanted to make some homemade spanish rice to go with it instead of the boxed junk you buy at the store. Although this rice was a little on the spicy side, I loved the flavors of it, especially the fresh cilantro at the end...mmmmm
I've always wanted to learn the secret to making a real good authentic spanish rice, but for now this one will work just fine.

Creamy Pesto Sauce

This is a great pesto sauce. Of course I found this lovely recipe on Pinterest, which has now become my go to source for finding recipes. I needed to find a homemade pesto sauce recipe for a couple of reasons...1- My brother said that it would be the best sauce to go with these fantastic Chicken Sausage and Kale Ravioli's that I got at Costco..and 2- I have an abundance of basil growing in my herb garden and it was getting a little tall and needed some thinning. Enjoy!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Another winner from the Pinterest department. This recipe tastes like something you would order at a pasta place. The chicken alone with the marinade is awesome, as is the pasta alone, but put them together and wow its pretty good if I may say so.
The original recipe comes from a place called Plain Chicken which seems to have quite a few really yummy looking recipes. Enjoy.

Teriyaki Salmon with Hot sauce

I came across this recipe while on Pinterest the other day and it looked amazing. I know I already have a lot of Salmon recipes but can you really have to many? I think not. The homemade teriyaki sauce is fantastic in itself, but add in the hot sauce you put on the top and it takes the Salmon to a whole new level. The sauce reminds me of the Sumo Sauce at the Happy Sumo, or the spicy sauce they put on top of some sushi.
This is one of my favorite ways to prepare salmon because I love the flavor combinations.

BBQ Shredded Chicken Sandwich

This is a super easy recipe. Some of the ingredients are a little weird for a typical BBQ, but I'll tell you what....THEY WORK! Shred the chicken and put on sandwiches or leave it whole!
These sandwiches will have all your family or guests asking you how you made it.

Sweet Coleslaw

On Sunday I decided to try 4 new recipes and I'll tell you what...I LOVED all four new I am going to share them with whoever actually reads these. This coleslaw is fan freakin tastic!
This is a sweet coleslaw which I personally like a lot better then those hard core coleslaws you buy at the store.
I have made this recipe many many times now and love it just as much as I did the first time. This is a great side dish that takes very little time to pull together (as long as you let it sit in the fridge) and goes with just about everything!

Beef and Broccoli over Rice

I always seem to have a lot of broccoli sitting in my fridge so I was trying to think of something other then roasted broccoli. For some reason I couldn't get Panda Express out of my head. So thus....Beef and Broccoli. This recipe was actually pretty darn simple. It was ready in under 30 minutes, which in my book is pretty good. Enjoy.

Super Yummy Grilled Shrimp! I love shrimp. I love the grill. So why not grill shrimp?! Yes please!!! This recipe is so stinking good. Perfect for summer when its hot and you don't want to heat up your kitchen. These shrimp would be good in a taco or on a salad...we had them just how they were though.
The marinade on these shrimp is so amazing. I bet it would be good on chicken as well.
If you love shrimp as much as I do then you will absolutely love this recipe.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

With it being so hot and having mad soup the night before which heated up the entire apartment for hours I decided to find some new grilling recipes. I came across this one also on allrecipes and I must say it was DELISH and not to mention super easy. Those my friends are two things that make up my kind of dinner. Pair this with a few nice veggies and stove use from me and no hot...kinda...apartment! I must say there are a couple of the ingredients that I would have never thought to put on chicken or to baste with but it turned out fantastic!

Lentil Soup

So you may be thinking that I'm crazy for making soup in the middle of summer when it's 100 degrees outside, but, I had never had lentils before and I really wanted to try them and for some very strange reason soup just sounded very good. I found this recipe on The original recipe is a good base recipe that you can add or subtract anything. This should be called the "Everything but the kitchen sink soup".

Sauteed Chicken Breast with Creamy Chive Sauce

I made this chicken last night and it was delish! I did have to switch a few things up a little bit in order to work with the foods I am allowed to eat, so I will put the real recipe and then my adaptations down below. Enjoy.

Strawberry Shortcake...cake :)

I came across this recipe via Pinterest and it looked REALLY amazing. So I decided to give it a try for our anniversary this year. It was absoultely fantastic although there are things I would change for next time based on the fact that there were only 2 of us eating it. But here is the original recipe. The icing on this cake is so stinking amazing.

Italian Burgers

Who doesn't love a good old fashioned Italian burger?! I'm pretty sure I make mine just like most people but this is the way I personally like to have them.
I like to switch up having plain old burgers sometimes so this is how I usually do it. We eat a lot of hamburgers in our home so I have to find different ways of loading up that bun to make it different every time.

Turkey Panini

This is a Zupa's inspired sandwhich. I have no idea why we think we can't make delish sandwhiches at home. All you need....GOOD QUALITY BREAD!!!
(This picture is what the one at Zupas looks like, since I sooo do not have a photo taking ability in my body)
Now to make this a diet approved meal obviously you need to change it from a sandwich to a wrap. See my corrections below in my notes.

Roasted Broccoli & Other Veggies

This has become one of our favorite side dishes. I grew up only having vegetables cooked on the stove, covered in water...and what I never knew was that you get soooo much more flavor when you roast your veggies.
Down below in my side notes are other vegetable ideas that are fantastic roasted. There is just something about roasting vegetables that makes them a lot more enjoyable to eat. I have had multiple people tell me that they don't like vegetables, and then I would roast some for them and cook them right (not overcooking them) and I have been able to change a few minds.

Fish in Foil

If you are looking for a super fast and easy way to get some fish on the table this is the recipe for you. You put everything in some foil and throw it in the oven. How much more simple can you get?!
I love having the jalapenos in there to give it sort of a bite, but honestly something happens to them that gives them a more sweet taste then anything. So if you think this dish may be to spicy for you because of them, PLEASE give them a try first before leaving them off. I'm serious! I'm a wuss when it comes to spice but I was able to gobble these up easy as pie!

Asian Salmon

So I made this recipe to put in the freezer for after I had Olivia. It turned out tasting really good. It also only took a few minutes to put together before...and after putting it in the freezer. I love a good fish recipe...especially if it is simple.
I love how all the marinades I have are different. For example, this marinade has dijon mustard in it...yep...dijon. Who would have thought it would be so good mixed with the other ingredients?!

Zuppa Toscana Soup from Olive Garden

This is one of my favorite soups ever. I made this recipe the other day and it tasted exactly like the one at Olive Garden.
This is my go to soup. I love love love love this recipe. I made this soup for a "soup bar" for a get together with some family and everybody absolutely loved it as much as I do.
I personally like to make mine fresh right before people come, but I have made it to go in the crockpot and still had it come out just as tasty.

Baked Shrimp Scampi

I must admit that I REALLY liked this recipe. I made this as a freezer meal. It does take a little bit of time to make, but once you have it in the freezer, it thaws out AMAZINGLY well and all you have to do is bake it.
Who wouldn't like a fancy 5 star recipe pulled right out of the freezer?

Bacon Ranch Chicken

When you don't have a lot of time to spend at night cooking, crockpot meals are the way to go. I made this recipe right after I had my child during those two weeks of fun fun and this stuff hit the spot. There is nothing like a hot bowl of pasta and yummy chicken sauce to make a person feel so much happier!

Yummy Breakfast Cheesecake

So one of my goals for this new year is to do a little better about my recipe blogging. So I thought I would start it off with adding the meals I had either gotten after I had Olivia from friends, or the meals that I had found that I put in my freezer that turned out good.

To start. One of my really good friends brought me this amazing breakfast cheesecake a couple of days after I had Olivia with some bags of fresh fruit...and I'll tell you what...this was soooooo good and it lasted through several breakfasts, and even some midnight snacks as well. I quickly asked for the recipe, and a few days later saw the same recipe (almost) on must have been fate!
