I had all the ingredients right in my fridge so that was an added bonus as I loathe going to the grocery store. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who will do everything I can to find recipes that I already have the ingredients for so I can avoid getting dressed and dragging my children out for an epic battle at the store.
This recipe came together so quickly and had so much flavor jammed into the sauce. That is one thing I love about Asian cooking. It's usually simple and full of flavor, which for me is the way to go. Even my 5 year old daughter loved it and she has become the pickiest eater in the world.

One thing I have decided lately is that everything is better served on top of fries. We went to a little mom and pop sandwich place a couple weeks ago and they suggested that we try the fillings on top of fries instead of in the sandwich buns and holy smokes. It was so much better, and we all know how much I loves me some bread! So for me to say it was better on fries is saying a lot.
This recipe is simple, fast, and screams Southern California lovin. One thing I miss about living there is the amazing carne asada you could pick up pretty much everywhere. I'm here to tell ya that this is a great recipe if you want to get that So Cal vibe in your home for a meal. It won't let you down.

I don't do much cooking over the fire anymore for this recipe and instead use my handy dandy oven ;) but whenever I eat this it does remind me of those days.
This is seriously one of my favorite recipes because it is so versatile. I've made it with pork chops, with ground hamburger, and hot dogs. This is also my all time favorite meal to make as a freezer meal. It warms up so well and tastes like it was never in the freezer.

I know I know, most people stick to the amazingly amazing cheap hot dog and soda or the ridiculously massive slice of pizza but I almost always get these. I seriously crave these when I am sitting at home. And to be honest the ones in their freezer section are okay but not like the ones they make in the front.
Now I will be honest. This recipe isn't exactly like the ones they have up front, I feel like it has more of the ingredients that they serve in the ones you buy in the freezer section BUT that being said, it does taste pretty darn close.

For our anniversary this year I told my husband all I wanted was to not have to cook for one whole day. So he took me out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was so fun.
For breakfast we decided to try out a new place called The Original Breakfast House. This particular item was on the menu and was amazing. I paired it with a glass a fresh squeezed orange juice and found myself in pure heaven after just having breakfast.
Of course, when I got home I instantly started looking up recipes online to see if I could figure out how to make it, and came up with this recipe that turned out pretty darn close. It isn't exactly like theirs but hey, I think think that's okay cuz it is delicious none the less.

This recipe is a great mock version of the Panda Express kind. It has the same ingredients, as far as I can tell, and it tastes just as good if not better.
It also comes together very quick so its an easy side to pair with your favorite dishes. I paired mine with some potstickers that I had posted about a little bit ago. SO YUMMY!

As an adult I must admit I still really enjoy having mac n cheese and hot dogs but I don't like the taste of boxed mac n cheese any more. It tastes soooo processed and just flat out gross ro me.
I have been making homemade for many years now because not only is it just as easy, it tastes a million times better and is very versitle.
For example I use the cheese sauce recipe, add broccoli and serve it over baked potatoes as well, DELISH.

Zucchini noodles have been kind of a fad lately. I see them popping up all over pinterest and to be honest I have always wanted to try them but just never have. When cooked up they do look just like spaghetti noodles so you don't even miss having the real noodles in there.

I never knew how simple making kettle corn was. The hardest part is making sure it doesn't burn. Which if you keep an eye and an ear on it you won't have any problems at all.

A few weeks ago I went to this market where they take donations for semi unlimited fruits and vegetables. The catch is, is that they produce is on its way out so you need to use it really fast. When I got home I realized I had a lot of zucchini, summer squash, and tomatoes and I knew that I had seen a yummy looking recipe on pinterest. Thus came this recipe.
Now I'm not usually a huge fan of yellow squash but with the seasonings on it and the cheese it made those edible for me lol. I loved the pop you got from the tomatoes bursting open in your mouth and the zucchini was fabulous.
A perfect way to use up all those garden vegetables, instead of running around in your church parking lot looking for unlocked cars to put all your excess squash in ;)

A few weeks ago I was in the mood to have a break from life and spend some time in the kitchen. Yes I know that may sound strange to some but my relaxing time is when I can just be alone in the kitchen without screaming children and just cook. I don't know, there is just something about hearing the knife slice through fresh vegetables that just makes my brain happy. So on a rare occasion I try to take a little break from life and prepare a meal that takes a little more then just a "quick throw it in a pan" type of prep.
Potstickers. Ohhhh I love them. Not only do they look so cute and fun but they taste awesome. This recipe is approved by my whole family, even my 4 year old which at this stage in life is pretty hard to get any approval on any food.
Once you get into the groove of making these they actually don't take that long to make, especially because you don't have to cook the filling first. AND...you can freeze your leftovers and save for another time!

When I first got married I used to think that meals needed to be big and have lots of ingredients to make it good. I have since learned that the most simple dishes in my house seem to be the ones that go over the best, especially with my 4 year old.
One thing I love about this recipe is that it uses drumsticks. Drumsticks are a favorite in my household as they are not only affordable, but they are super juicy and fun to eat. Who doesn't like getting their hands a little dirty sometimes?!
Now when I first read this recipe with the lime and dijon I was skeptical because those didn't sound like 2 ingredients that would go good together, but I promise they do.

Muffins are a great way to make a lot of food out of your over ripe bananas. I like this recipe better then some of the others I have tried because it has chunks of the banana in it rather then just all mushed up ones. It helps to keep the muffins extra moist I personally think that they have more of a banana flavor.
Throw out your old banana muffin recipes because this one is a keeper for sure!

The only issue I USED to have was.... I always forgot to make the dough until about an hour before dinner needed to be ready.
I am so happy that I found this recipe. It doesn't take hours to prepare and it actually tastes great, which means more wins for me!
I've used this recipe to make pizza and breadsticks.

Let's be honest, going out to restaurants is expensive. Especially if you were to order something like this. But making it at home costs half the price and you can stay in your pajamas. Don't get me wrong, I love going out, but, making this quality of food at home wow's everybody more then ordering it from a menu.
This recipe will not let you down as far as flavor goes. The pork chop alone being breaded and bakes is super juicy but then you add this amazing cream sauce and you get smacked in the face with flavor!

Now that I live in an area that I can't grow raspberries I don't get to eat them very often because they are so stinking expensive. But, this week they were on sale for only $.86 so I snatched me up a few packages and tried to relive my youth. Needless to say, store bought raspberries are nothing like a fresh picked one so I opted to make them into a dessert. This is a recipe that my husband had a lot growing up because he also had a big raspberry garden at his house.
By the way, I brought this to a potluck the other day and I got some good compliments on it so I figured it was a keeper and blog worthy. Enjoy.

Usually I'm not a huge cauliflower fan but roasting it does amazing things to it and honestly the turmeric seasoning and other spices make this recipe a keeper in my book.
I'm always looking for new ways to cook vegetables. Side dishes in my house get pretty boring and I feel like I get in this cycle of "okay to I roast it, steam it, or just boil it to tar tonight?"
I'm so glad that I have a side dish now that has amazing flavors, is healthy, and looks beautiful in color!
