BBQ Shredded Chicken Sandwich

This is a super easy recipe. Some of the ingredients are a little weird for a typical BBQ, but I'll tell you what....THEY WORK! Shred the chicken and put on sandwiches, serve it over a salad, or leave it whole! It's good no matter how you eat it. Just get it in your belly!!!
I have made this recipe many times for family and friends whenever they have stayed with us, and every time I have been asked for the recipe. The best part about it is that it's made in the slow cooker, so you don't have to spend a lot of time at dinner getting it ready. I like to pair my meat up with my favorite Sweet Coleslaw recipe. Enjoy!

Philly Cheesesteak Goodness

I love everything about this recipe. Why is this philly cheeseteak recipe different than others? There is this sauce...a garlic aioli sauce...that is just pure heaven and pulls this entire sandwich together. The best part, other than it tasting fantastic, is that it is another incredibly easy and quick dish. I don't know about your house but once 4 PM hits my house becomes...well not so fun. The kids have had it for the day at that point so the fighting and whining is at an all time high and my nerves are fried. So when I can quickly chop up a few ingredients, throw them in the pan and have it done in under 30 minutes, it saves my sanity a little. I usually have to deconstruct this for my kids because they aren't sandwich fans but it's still always a win.

Banh Mi Rice Bowls

A while back on Netflix they had the Great Food Truck Race so I binge watched it of course and was hungry all the time. One of the food trucks that sparked my interested was a Banh Mi Sandwich truck. I had no idea what these things were but every time they made them they looked absolutely delish. Well fast forward a couple of months and a restaurant  opened up literally around the corner from my house that was all about the Banh Mi. I am now officially an addict and wanted to try my hand at them at home.
This version is, obviously, not a sandwich. One thing that makes a good Banh Mi sandwich is the rolls they use and I was not about to butcher those amazing bits of goodness so when I found a recipe using the same flavors they put inside the sandwich but served over rice I knew this was a version I would feel comfortable making.
One thing I love about this recipe is you have your hot cooked rice and meat served with crunchy fresh pickled vegetables, fresh raw vegetables, and cilantro (which I am obsessed with).
Guys...this stuff is awesome. I have made this recipe multiple times for multiple people who have come to stay at our house and every time I have been asked for the recipe.

French Dip Sandwich

I love french dip. It's easy and no matter how you make it, it always comes out tasting delish. I uses to always eat it the classic way with just the meat, horseradish, and bun but lately I've been venturing out and trying some different ways. I believe I have found a keeper. If you like banana peppers you will love this recipe. I love the extra zing you get from cooking the meat with the peppers. Give it  a try. It won't disappoint.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

For the past couple of years I have been an addict to the Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches at Subway. My husband got me to try something new one day, which doesn't happen very often, and I have been addicted ever since. In fact, while I was pregnant I quite fondly remember eating more then my fair share of their yummy sandwiches. Mmm, just thinking about them gets me hungry.
So aside from my love for Subway, I decided that I could have the same thing at home. Why not?! So what did I do? I jumped on my faithful Pinterest account and started looking at every Buffalo Chicken Sandwich recipe I could find and piled them all together to come up with this beauty.
The chicken comes out so tender and juicy because you cook it in the crockpot, and then you can make it as spicy or not as you like according to how much sauce you put on!
I personally am a bigger fan of Ranch with my buffalo wings rather then Blue Cheese, but you could do whatever you like!

The Gage Dog

Ohhhhh the hot dog. Everybody's favorite thing they hate to love. I personally am not a huge fan of the cheap (I don't know whats really in them) dogs from the grocery store, but, this recipe I will eat...everytime! The GAGE dog.
We were having a bbq at my sisters house a few years ago and my brother in law said that we had to try this version of a hot dog. It was fantastic. How can a hot dog with bacon not be good. Anyway, I believe it was his creation, or maybe it was something that he had seen before, BUT my husband loved it (as I recall he may have snarfed down one or two extra hot dogs that day.) Since they are brothers and they both love them, it is now called the GAGE dog in our household.

*I forgot to snap a picture of our dogs this time, so I tried to find the closest
thing on the web I could to what it looks like. I will update a new picture
when we make them again! But this is a great picture for if you forget to wrap the bacon around the dog, like I sometimes do :)*

Italian Turkey Meatballs

If you are looking for a lower calorie and still fantastic tasting meatball then give this recipe a try. Ground beef? Who needs it when you can jazz up some extra lean ground turkey and save a few million calories :)
These meatballs are so flavor packed that you won't even miss the extra grease.
And in my personal opinion if your meatballs are good, then you don't have to go completely extravagant on your sauce. These meatballs are great in spaghetti, as subs, in a soup, or plain! I've tried them all three ways and they are simply fantastic. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Turkey Panini

This is a Zupa's inspired sandwhich. I have no idea why we think we can't make delish sandwhiches at home. All you need....GOOD QUALITY BREAD!!!
(This picture is what the one at Zupas looks like, since I sooo do not have a photo taking ability in my body)
Now to make this a diet approved meal obviously you need to change it from a sandwich to a wrap. See my corrections below in my notes.

Hoosier Pork-Tenderloin Sandwich

I got this recipe from The Food Network Magazine. I saw a giant piece of meat on a teeny tiny bun and thought, hmm that sounds good to me. The crunch on the pork takes the sandwich to a whole new level, not that I usually put a pork chop on a sandwich...but this works.

Asian Pulled Pork Sandwiches

I had this recipe first at my sisters house as she was experimenting on us and I loved it. You can make this ahead of time and save it. It warms up very well. This is one of my favorite ways to make pork sandwiches because it isn't your typical BBQ pulled pork. The asian flavors in it are fantastic as a sandwich!

Quick Tangy Roast Beef Sandwiches

This is a tangier (not really a word or spelling probably) rendition of the classic bbq sandwich. It's so fast and ridiculously easy! You would never guess in a million years that it is made with tomato soup! SAY WHAT?! Yep, tomato soup. If your on a budget then this is a great recipe for you. If your low on time, this is a great recipe for you. If you just plain like food...then this is a great recipe for you :)
