Doubly Chocolate Cookies
Im having a bit of a sweet tooth today and thankfully don't have anything lying around. So Im hoping that by posting dessert recipes that it will cover up my need for chocolate :)
2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1. Heat oven to 350
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Beat butter, sugar eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until fluffy. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate cips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake 8-10 minutes or just until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
**Randi's Side Notes**
~ So to jazz this up a little bit instead of just adding plain old chocolate chips, I like to add a mixture of milk chocolate, white chocolate, and peanut butter chocolate chips. ITS AMAZING!!
