Maple Salmon

Okay so I was in a rush trying to find something to cook for dinner and found a couple of 4 oz. pieces of salmon in my freezer. I found this really simple easy recipe online and it turned out pretty good. Here you go!

1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce (For Gluten Free just double check your brand)
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon

1- In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
2-Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture.
3- Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
4- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
5- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.

**Randi's Side Notes**
~ I think next time I will add a little more maple syrup to blend a little better with the soy sauce. I only tasted a hint of the maple, but it was still really good.
~ For gluten free, make sure that you check your soy sauce labels. Some brands have gluten in it. I would also recommend checking the label on your maple syrup as well just in case. I personally make homemade syrup and know that my syrup only consists of sugar, water, and maple flavoring, but I don't know about store bought.
